Church History:
Holistic Life Baptist Church Ministries was established in February 2006. Our first services started in the Hampton Inn Hotel in Roxbury MA, in the "Jeep Jones Room." The first service was held on Sunday, February 12, 2006, with services starting at 11:30am. We have been blessed with numerous ministers and deacons throughout the years. We started our ministry with a seasoned pastor, deacon and three ministers. We have worked with great music directors throughout the years; our first two music directors were brother Elan Trotman and minister Melvin Murphy. Now we are blessed with brother Dennis Montgomery, III, our present director, who cultivated the skill and discipline of our praise team, Praise of Zion.
Our first baptism was held March 2006 at Southern Baptist Church, Roxbury, MA. We also supported the church's mission and fund raised by selling dinners, having bake sales, and yard sales.
On March 25, 2007 Holistic had our first anniversary and dinner celebration at Vinny T's in Dedham, MA. Our last service at the hotel was June 10, 2007. We remained strong and continued worshipping after leaving the hotel by sharing space at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Mattapan, MA until February 2008. We exalt God and bless pastor Eduardo Yarde and the Mount Sinai church family for allowing us to have our worship services in their sanctuary. Our worship services were relocated in March 2008 to 106 Crawford Street, Dorchester, MA, where were currently share space with Church of God and Saints of Christ. We celebrated 10 years of ministry in November 2016 by releasing a praise team CD and having a banquet dinner at Lantana's in Randolph MA.
